About Equiano
The Equiano Project is an employment-focused recovery project based in Birmingham, supporting survivors of modern slavery as they rebuild their lives and move towards safe sustainable employment.
The project helps survivors overcome the many barriers they may face by providing long-term, tailored support.
This includes:
Paid and voluntary supported work placements
Training courses
English language classes
Digital and life skills development
A range of social activities that promote health, wellbeing, and integration within UK life.
*To receive support from the Equiano Project, you must be a survivor of modern slavery and aged 18 or over. You do not need to have been supported through the National Referral Mechanism (NRM) to access support from the Equiano Project.*
